Get To It!There are three ways to get to Cozumel:
Cozumel International Airport: Direct International flights. 10 miles, 20 min to the Villa.
You will be given the name of our Onsite Rental Agent that will meet you at the Cozumel airport and assist in getting you to your car rental company or arrange transport by the only shuttle service from the airport.
(by law, they can't transport you) there are transportation monopolies at most tourist Mexican airports, only car rentals and certain transportation companies are allowed to take passengers. Our Onsite Rental Agent will walk with you
to the car rental, help with your luggage, and accompany you to the Villa where they will orient you to Casa Coralina and your surroundings. The uniformed agents, at the airport and the ferry docks that seem to want
to help you get you to your destination, are a front to the time share sales. For example: They walk up to you and ask: "Which hotel?", and no matter what your answer is, they will say "This way please" - DON'T GO WITH THEM - Don't
volunteer any info, your name or where you are going, to anyone except to someone with your FULL name on their clipboard.
Cancun Airport and via the Playa del Carmen Ferry: You should always fly NON STOP to Cancun. 2 hours from the villa.
Involves a 40 miles, 1 hour ground transportation to Palya del Carmen, and 12 mile, 20 minute Ferry ride crossing to the Island. If you find it less expensive to fly into Cancun the Property Manager
have arrangements to have you met at the airport and transferred directly to Playa del Carmen where the ferry ride is only 35 minutes to Cozumel.
http://www.paradisetransfers.com/rates.html You should always fly NON STOP to Cancun, otherwise your trip would consume a whole day. The transportation company will wait for you at the airport with name on sign for prompt transfer to Playa. Click on Cozumel Ferry on the left menu for Ferry info and schedules. This is for groups of 4 or more. The round trip cost for ground and ferry transportation
is about $60 per person. You should allow 3 hours additional time each way You need to save more than $200 per ticket for a group of 4 or more to make this approach worth the hassle. Otherwise we recommend you fly directly to Cozumel
especially if your are making connecting flights in the US.
Air Puddle Jumper to/from Cancun to Cozumel: 15 minute flight, Air puddle-jumper. You should weigh your options and consider how many other connecting stops you are making before incurring the
expense of the puddle jumper. It is best to make your connections in the US and fly directly to Cozumel. Otherwise you should fly non stop to Cancun. If you have your FM3's you get the discounted rate of about $30 each way. For tourists it's $70
each way.
